Discover the bespoke, non glued and 100% recyclable packaging the Far'n'Beyond team designed and printed for natural soap company Odacova.
Odacova produces a range of natural, fragrance-free soap and shampoo bars for toddlers. Founded of Odacova Skincare, Dee Denton was initially motivated by her own experiences and a quest for perfume-free products before being further inspired by her daughter Izzy's eczema.
On the search for a natural soap for Izzy and after reading hundreds of blogs, books and research papers, it became apparent that the only way to ensure a genuinely natural soap was to make it herself. Odacova was born.
From initial discussions with the client and with a bar of natural soap in our hands, we began developing a packaging solution that would securely hold the soap bars but allow for slight variance in their sizes during manufacture.
Our goal was to keep the packaging as natural as the product itself, so we produced an interlocking concept that doesn't require glueing to hold the box together on a sustainable 100% recyclable packaging board.
Without compromising on the integrity of the box, the double-walled construction cleverly holds itself in position with the product's weight adding further rigidity to the low profile packaging.
Once the concept was agreed upon, we began developing artwork for each of the handmade soaps in the product range.
The final design captured soap patterns that are as unique and natural as we are. Adjusting the colours and producing a distinctive pattern for each scent, the packaging design is clean and simple to reflect the premium ingredients used in the product.

Once we had checked all aspects of the order and confirmed the artwork for the five soap and five shower variations, we proceeded with the production of the standard retail packaging.
Both the product, its design, and the packaging have received positive feedback. The team at Far'n'Beyond are all looking forward to watching Ovacova develop and being part of that journey.
