In February, the creative and admin team at Far’n’Beyond enjoyed a day out of the office helping the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust with woodland management at Lime Roach Hills on the outskirts of Leeds.
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust
Far’n’Beyond are corporate supporters of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and throughout the year we aim to provide as much support and awareness as possible for their work. Last year we particularly liked wearing our wellies to work for a day to raise some funds to help support their work.
The day of volunteering was spent clearing shrubs, trees and hay from an area of woodland, in order to manage and enhance the flora that grows there. This meant we got involved with loppers, bowsaws, bonfires, pitches and forks.
We were well looked after by Kara from the YWT and thankfully we all remained in one piece, with just a few thorn-related injuries?
