We were delighted and privileged to present the "Player's Player of the Season" at the Leeds Knights Annual Awards Ceremony.
Following another great season where we enjoyed several evenings of Ice Hockey at the Castle as Match Night Sponsors, it was lovely to attend the 2024/25 Season Awards 'Knight' alongside other supporters, players and staff.

To present the award for "Players Player of the Season" were two of our key players - Sam and Abi, who took to the stage with the coveted trophy and case of Budweiser for the winner.
"Being able to sponsor such a prestigious award, with the winner selected by the players, is an absolute honour. We know how important each team member is to achieving success, but there are always individuals who inspire those around them."
Sam Wood.
Following a warm welcome and an opportunity to meet other guests at the event, we were seated for a lovely meal and a moving speech from Matt Haywood, who is retiring from Ice Hockey after a brilliant career, including three seasons with the Knights.
It was also nice to hear from team coach Ryan Aldridge, who also spoke fondly of the players who are leaving at the end of the season, the team's fantastic achievements of the season, and the club's future plans.

With the evening in full swing, the awards ceremony began with several awards for the players.

Ahead of the music and some enthusiastic dancing, Sam and Abi presented the "Player's Player of the Year Award" sponsored by Far'n'Beyond which was won by Matt Haywood.
"It was a true privilege to present the award to Matt, although unsurprising given his spectacular career and his reputation within the team, there will be some large skates to fill, I'm sure!
It was a fantastic night to be involved with, and whilst everyone is due a well-deserved "summer break", I can't wait for the new season to begin."

Organised by The Leeds Knights Supporters Club, the evening was a great success and a tribute to Gail, Paul and the army of volunteers and team who make the club so welcoming for fans of all ages and supporters alike.
