We were pleased to once again work with the South West Yorkshire Partnership Teaching NHS Foundation Trust (The Trust) on a custom project to support children’s development through music-making in the region.
The Trust exists to help people reach their potential and live well in their communities. They do this by providing mental health, community, learning disability, and wellbeing services across Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees, and Wakefield.
The team at The Trust contacted Far’n’Beyond to print and fulfil a custom “Sing a Rainbow Pack" which included their resources to support parents and carers to take part in music-making activities at home with children.
These packs intend to raise the confidence of parents and carers to use music to help children with school readiness. The "Sing a Rainbow" cards each feature a different topic and song to teach children vocabulary, numbers, concepts of different categories and build relationships with peers and adults.
Sing a Rainbow has songs on 14 topics, each with different activities to suit children as they grow up through the early years.
Working in partnership with the NHS internal Creative Health team, we used product samples to measure, test, and refine the design of the outer packaging wallets, ensuring they were perfectly tailored to securely and neatly hold the inner cards.
Once the designs were agreed, we moved on to producing a physical prototype, allowing the client to review, test and approve the final solution.
For complex projects, we also recommend an unprinted sample to ensure the products fit securely and any bespoke elements work in real-life situations.
Using the supplied template files, the excellent artwork supplied by The Trust was proofed and approved before full production of the outer wallets and inner cards.
The sixteen variations of the inner cards were printed on a rigid 350gsm card with rounded corners. The wallets required die-cutting and glueing before the cards were collated to create a full pack, which were then packed in sets into the pack wallets.
