Salix Services is a small, local business that covers all types of outdoor work such as landscape gardening, artificial lawns, fencing, decking and patios.
The aim of our brief was to create a unique, attractive and timeless logo that really sits at the forefront of the landscape gardening market.
The starting point was to thoroughly research the market to be able to plan out the logo design and execute it effectively. Colour palettes, typefaces and brand imagery were important aspects of this process to see how the existing market was portrayed to potential customers.
Salix Services want to provide an offering of creative, affordable and high-quality work that is bespoke to suit the customers’ requirements. With this in mind, the design team went on to develop a cohesive brand identity that reflects the appropriate industry.
The logo mark is a simplistic combination of various elements which are tied together to create one. The target industry is represented by the leaf/spade shape which sits at the core of the mark, followed by the willow tree which elegantly follows up through the centre of the mark to represent the Latin name for ‘Salix’ in the brand name. The last element is the heart shape which sits subtly at the top of the logo to capture the friendly and reliable service that Salix Service offers.
Following the design of the logo mark, we created various assets, including business cards and flyers, that really show off the logo in the appropriate environment, showing the potential that the brand can have.
