Leeds residents were invited to spend some time at the beach this Summer, all without leaving the city centre!
The Light leisure complex in the heart of the city centre delivered Leeds' City Beach. A giant sandpit complete with beach huts, seaside photo boards, traditional summer games, frisbees, beachballs, bucket, spades, and a selection of food stalls, including candy floss, ice cream hot dogs, and free giveaways.
The family-focused two-week event formed part of The Light's 'One Great Day' initiative, raising money for Great Ormond Street children's hospital.
At Far'n'Beyond, we were asked to design a range of digital graphics across social media and print applications. Developing an eye-catching visual in the brand style of The Light, our team set to work on producing a versatile, attractive and informative selection of designs.
We designed two collections for use on digital channels, including profile images, social media graphics sized for Twitter, Facebook & Instagram and elements for supply with the press release to local websites.
The different designs all followed similar design principles whilst highlighting the event's appeal to viewers and avoiding fatigue common when posting the same images to promote an event.
The artwork was then developed for the physically printed elements of the campaign, including posters to promote the event across The Light.

The largest element of the project was the design, print and installation of the retail window graphics produced at the entrance of the shopping centre, next to where the City Beach was located.
