Staple Bound Brochures

Staple Bound, sometimes referred to as Saddle Stitched, is the most popular binding process in the printing industry.

The process is where folded sheets (brochure pages) are collated together in page order and then stapled through the fold line with wire staples. The wire staples pass through the pre-folded creases from the outside brochure covers and are clinched between the centermost pages.

Staple Bound Brochures are durable, robust and lie flat once bound.

Brochure Materials

Utilising a range of FSC approved premium papers including Wigston, G.F. Smith & Fedrigoni, we ensure the appropriate material is used for production whilst also combining stocks and weights to deliver exceptional brochure projects.

The right paper can make a huge difference to your finished brochure, particularly when matched with a finishing option such as foiling, embossing or die cutting.

Foil Blocking

Where Metallic, Pigment or Neon Films are hot foil stamped to specific branding areas.

Embossing & Debossing

Embossing & Debossing alters the surface of paper or other materials by creating a three-dimensional or raised effect on selected areas.

We offer a wide range of laminates from matt and gloss to the premium laminates such as soft touch and anti-scuff resistant films.

Spot UV

Spot UV is mainly used for its decorative effect as light catches the partially coated, and specified areas, usually the logo.

White Ink

White Ink adds a layer of elegance that standard printing can’t emulate, adding a bespoke finish that’s guaranteed to catch all the right attention.

Die Cutting

Die cutting is the process of cutting a piece of paper or material to a customised shape. It is created by using a cutting forme/tool, which is formed into a specific shape, then cut through the paper.

Popular Brochure Finishing Options

Capitalising on a range of specialist finishing options can create engaging and high-impact documents, for example:

  • Foil Blocking
  • Spot UV
  • Gloss, Matt, Velvet Lamination
  • Die Cutting
  • White Ink
