Working with the Woodland Trust to Mitigate our Carbon Emissions

The Woodland Carbon Scheme – mitigating our carbon emissions

Far’n’beyond is committed to acting positively to reduce our carbon emissions and to support a more sustainable environment.

We have chosen to participate in the Woodland Carbon plan, which is a unique scheme through the Woodland Trust, to help companies reduce their carbon footprint by locking up carbon emissions through planting trees.

By working as a Woodland Carbon partner, we are involved in a credible carbon removal scheme that operates under the government’s Woodland Carbon Code.

Participating in the Woodland Carbon scheme enables Far’n’beyond to contribute to:

  • Creating new woodlands
  • Planting native tree species to support our natural ecosystems, biodiversity and wildlife
  • Establishing new woodlands for generations of people to enjoy now and in the future

We have worked with the Woodland Trust to create 250 m2 of new native woodland. In time this will absorb at least 10 tonnes of carbon dioxide, helping with our strategy to reduce our business carbon footprint.

We can all do our bit to tackle Carbon Dioxide emissions. Why not join a car share scheme at work, give public transport a try or turn down the heating at home?

Curbing your carbon footprint is not emission impossible. If you are interested in offsetting some of your carbon emissions as an individual or as a business, take a look at the Woodland Carbon Scheme – with the help of a tree or two, you could reduce your impact on the environment.
